There are two kinds of stores nowdays in Taiwan. One is small grocery stores and the other is large supermarkets. The grocery stores are equal to convenience stores which are like 7-11, Family Mart, Hi-Life and so on. On the other hand, the large supermarkets are like Carrefour, RT-Mart, and Géant and so on.Some of the people pefer to shop in supermarkets. However, some like to purchase products in small grocery stores. The major different of those choise are depend on price, service and food.

The products or food what you buy in convenience stores are more expensive than in supermarkets because the former are retailer and the latter are wholesaler. Therefore, if the customers want to buy the large number of products can choose the supermarket and it can save more money than buy in convenience stores.

There is a really good service from convenience stores. That is the convenience stores opend 24 hour a day. What you want to buy to eat or to drink, you can buy it in convenience stores whenever you want. Moreover, the salesperson in convenience stores are nicer than supermarkets because they have to service to their customers all the time. On the other hand, even though the supermarkets just opened to 12 A.M. in gernal, there is also an good adventage that supermarkets supply. When you buy the big products in the large surpermarket such as the furniture or home appliances and hey will help us to deliver the goods to home.

The varieties of food the convenience stores sale is fewer than supermarkets. What the convenience stores sale can devide in three group, the “convenience food”, the stationary and the simple daily needs. The “convenience food” are like cookies, candy, ice cream, wine, beer and beverages and so on. The stationery, such as pens, envelopes, erasers and rulers and so on. The simple daily needs, such as maxi pad, Band-Aid, shampoo, body wash and so on. On the other hand, the varieties of products the supermarkets sale is more and more than convenience stores. Those too many products can be divided in many groups, such as furniture, electronic product, food, gardening, auto parts accessories, clothes, stationery and so on.Whatever you want to buy, all you can find it in supermarkets.

The convenience stores and supermarkets have their own advantages. For example, because of the cheaper price or variety, we can choose to buy the products in supermarkets. But we have to find the supermarket (because the stores of supermarkets are very fewer than convenience stores), and also have to find the products we want to buy in supermarket. On the other hand, because of the convenience or flexible time, we can choose to purchase in convenience stores. But the price will be higher than in supermarkets. No matter what we choose, both the convenience stores and supermarkets bring lots of convenienience to our life.
